This beautiful chunk of wood escaped the burner last night and has been enchanting me ever since. This morning I mentioned to my partner that I saw a man on top of the mountain. He went to find the little plastic Tracy brothers from the Thunderbirds 2 ship. They look very happy in their climbing!
I have been seeing the climb as a metaphor for the reality of the daily experience.
Sometimes we are high and the air is rare, the view magnificent. Sometimes we are scaling the walls of our dreams on the sheer cliff face. Sometimes we fall to our death in the valley below. All aspects, including the danger are parts of the whole of our lives, and we do our best when we respect the hardships and rewards of scaling the mountain.
What is life without challenge?
